Job Description/Summary:
Telephone Sales Lead reports directly to the Sales Manager and will support all outbound and inbound telesale efforts. This individual will lead a team of telephone sales representatives, ensuring goals are met, coaching team members, and maintaining a high level of customer service and product knowledge. This position blends hands-on selling with team oversight and performance optimization. This person will communicate across multiple departments to facilitate exceptional customer service while fostering a positive working environment.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of telephone sales representatives to achieve and exceed goals.
· Make outbound sales calls and respond to inbound inquiries and enter orders.
· Review current processes and practices and identify enhancements as necessary.
· Monitor call quality, customer interactions, and performance to ensure high standards of service.
· Train new team members on products, systems, sales techniques and company procedures.
· Collaborate with the outside sales team to ensure customers are well taken care of.
· Resolve escalated customer concerns and issues professionally and promptly.
· Assist marketing and other departments to support sales campaigns and promotions.
· Stay current on product offerings and industry trends.
· Track team performance and prepare reports for the Sales Manager.
Qualifications: Must have a strong commitment to service, excellence, and customer satisfaction with friendly disposition.
· Proven experience in telephone sales and/or inside sales, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
· Excellent verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to handle objections and negotiate positive outcomes
· High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
