POSITION SUMMARY

The Employee Relations Specialist (ERS) is an essential part of the development and administration of FPI's Employee Relations Program - assisting management in negotiating the intricacies of Human Capital Management and advocating for employees, as appropriate.

Minimum Pay Rate (salary) - $67,000 Maximum Pay Rate (salary) - $67,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job analyses will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity. Essential and marginal (non-essential) job functions are subject to modification. Nothing in this job analysis restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities for this job.

  • The ERS will primarily assist other Employee Relations team members to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation
  • Solutions will be recommended to the appropriate Corporate staff when repetition of individual problems indicate a larger negative trend
  • The ERS will participate in the response to Unemployment Claims made through our third-party portal
  • ERS will participate in the monitoring of the Performance Management program (Reviews & PIPs) to enhance this essential function of management, to provide thorough, timely and effective reviews of employee performance
  • The ERS will liaise with the Leave Management group to assist with Attendance issues and act as a bridge between Leave Management and Employee Relations
  • ERS will assist in reviewing existing HR protocols and programs to recommend improvements as necessary
  • Assist with other Employee Relations administrative tasks as applicable e.g., subpoena response, file requests, tracking of separations, etc.

OTHER:

  • Consistently and fairly enforce all applicable Laws and Regulations, and FPI Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conduct displayed must be of a professional manner when communicating with employees, residents, prospective residents, clients, vendors, and guests while representing FPI Management.
  • Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance.
  • Responsible for meeting all training requirements for the position- including Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' verifiable experience in a similar Human Resources role, at an Assistant or Coordinator level). Experience in Residential Property Management, preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate, required. 4-year college degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
  • May Require a Valid Driver's License , as well as: a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
